Rheumatic diseases
Do you suffer from rheumatoid arthritis?
For patients with rheumatoid arthritis, considering the polyarticular (i.e. multi-joint) nature of the ailment, we emphasise a strictly individual treatment plan which is drawn up after the initial medical examination. The course of spa treatment lasts for 28 days. It primarily involves the application of our natural source of healing – peat , in the form of baths, packs and compresses, as well as other methods of positive heat therapy – e.g. paraffin. If the patient cannot tolerate heat therapy or if the illness is active we use cryotherapy. Individual physical exercises with ergotherapy are a standard feature, backed up by the beneficial effects of hydrokinesitherapy (exercising in the pool). We also use various forms of electrotherapy, depending on the location of the ailment. Therapy is supplemented with additive and pearl baths.
Average number of procedures per day: 3-4 depending on the patient’s condition and tolerance.
