ISO 9001:2000

Quality in Lázně Bělohrad a.s.

In the year 2000 Lázně Bělohrad a.s. was the first spa in the Czech Republic to be awarded a quality certificate. Each year it has to prove its competence, which is attested by the renowned certification company ITI TÜV (Informace, Technika, Inspekce-TechnischeÜberwachung Verein) based in Prague and linked with Germany (based in Munich).

The European quality standard covers all possible aspects of the activities of management, employees and clients, and describes how a firm (organisation, company) is to behave in order to ensure that all these aspects are performed properly and to a high standard and are documented. In practice this means that all employees have a precisely designated position within the organisation of Lázně Bělohrad a.s., duties, a clear employment contract and set procedures.

The company management must set an example by adhering to the standard. Every year it sets the firm’s strategy and measurable quality targets, organises internal quality audits, reviews and assesses the system’s effectiveness, draws up the organisational and working rules of procedure and assigns the most capable and well-educated members of staff to prepare each individual section. This results in the creation of a binding set of standards, the fulfilment of which is reflected in the fact that the employees themselves are happy in the company, as they are part of a top-class team.
